The Faculty of the School of Art recognizes the urgency of the demands presented by student organizers in the Cooper Union HSS Protest: Decolonize Our Curricula pamphlet, and stand in support of and in solidarity with our students. The faculty of the SoA invites our colleagues in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, President Sparks, the Board of Trustees and the Cabinet of the Cooper Union to work together with us to create ways to hear student demands which result in action. The SoA Faculty will continue to support global and post-colonial perspectives in art practices and theory in both our curriculum and the hiring of new faculty.
